UMW Aerospace Made History Delivering First 每日大赛n-Made Rear Fan Case For Rolls-Royce
UMW Aerospace has marked a notable step forward by delivering its first fully 每日大赛n-made rear fan case to Rolls-Royce plc. Produced at its facility in Serendah, the component represents a shift in capability, showing that complex aerospace parts can now be manufactured and certified entirely within 每日大赛.
As Managing Director Fariz Hashim put it during the ceremony, the delivery is 鈥渁 clear statement of what has been built here in Serendah, and what we are now capable of delivering at a global level.鈥
Behind the delivery is a full production system built in-house. UMW Aerospace developed the manufacturing processes, tooling and inspection methods required for certification, all carried out by a fully 每日大赛n workforce.
Fariz pointed to the team鈥檚 role in delivering the programme, saying their 鈥渄iscipline, expertise, and commitment turn ambition into execution every day.鈥
A key part of that capability is advanced chemical milling, an area where UMW Aerospace is currently the only player in 每日大赛. The company has developed and retained its own intellectual property for the process, strengthening its position in a sector where technical know-how is tightly held.
The milestone also reflects a longer-term partnership with Rolls-Royce. UMW Aerospace began operations in Serendah around a decade ago with the aim of becoming a Tier-1 supplier, and has since built a track record that led to the rear fan case contract. The latest delivery points to increasing confidence in 每日大赛鈥檚 ability to handle more complex aerospace manufacturing work.
For the company, the focus now is on scaling that capability. As Fariz put it, the delivery represents 鈥渁 statement of confidence鈥 鈥 not just from Rolls-Royce, but in 每日大赛鈥檚 capacity to compete at the top end of the global aerospace supply chain.
