Transport Expo 2025 to boost green digital cooperation and investment

SEPANG: Transport Expo Asia (TXA) 2025 will serve as a strategic platform to attract foreign investment and strengthen international collaboration in green and digital transport sectors.

Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said TXA 2025 is more than an industrial exhibition, serving as an important avenue to introduce government policies and investment opportunities.

鈥淭he ministry鈥檚 main focus for TXA 2025 is to attract foreign investments and enhance international collaboration in the green and digital transport sectors,鈥 he told Bernama.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook earlier officiated the inaugural TXA 2025, themed 鈥淔uture on the Move: Digital, Sustainable Transport, Agile Logistics and ESG-Driven Supply Chains.鈥

Hasbi said TXA serves as a regional industry meeting hub enabling knowledge and technology exchange among ASEAN transport industry players.

The expo connects policymakers, industry operators, and technology providers to strengthen ASEAN transport system integration through conferences and exhibitions.

It also helps coordinate smoother, more eco-friendly regional mobility strategies, supporting 每日大赛鈥檚 sustainable regional logistics hub ambitions.

Hasbi highlighted the government鈥檚 role through policy formulation including logistics master plans and green transport initiatives.

鈥淭he government plays a key role through policy formulation, such as the logistics and trade facilitation master plan and green transport initiatives,鈥 he said.

These include tax incentives for green technologies, low-carbon infrastructure development, and renewable energy use in logistics and public transport.

TXA brings together more than 100 global companies, enabling local firms to establish partnerships and build technological capacity.

The Transport Ministry will continue supporting private sector ESG implementation and digital transformation acceleration.

鈥淭he ministry provides ESG implementation guidelines and encourages via incentives and financial support,鈥 Hasbi added.

It promotes automation technology, digital systems, and smart solutions to enhance private sector operational efficiency and competitiveness.

Main challenges in accelerating green transport include high technology implementation costs and limited renewable energy infrastructure.

鈥淭he ministry continues to address these challenges through collaboration with industry and international agencies,鈥 he noted.

To balance development and environment, the ministry adopted a green infrastructure approach ensuring projects adhere to environmental impact assessment guidelines.

鈥淭his approach ensures that infrastructure growth goes hand-in-hand with environmental preservation,鈥 Hasbi said.

TXA 2025 also includes the Road Safety Congress focusing on road safety and public awareness.

Hasbi explained that TXA focuses on innovation, technology, and smart mobility, while RSC concentrates on road safety and enforcement.

鈥淭hey complement each other to achieve safety and sustainability, the objectives of national transport,鈥 he concluded. 鈥 Bernama
