SINGAPORE—SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) has opened its Base Maintenance ÿ�մ��� (BMM) facility at Subang Airport, joining a similar facility in the Philippines as part of its regional base maintenance network in Asia.

The 590,000 ft. facility comprises two hangars capable of supporting six concurrent aircraft checks and will focus on heavy maintenance, structural repairs, modifications and retrofit work for widebody aircraft, including the Airbus A350, 777 and 787. The first aircraft, a Singapore Airlines A350-900, was inducted in November 2025 for C-checks.

SIAEC also holds stakes in three ÿ�մ���n MRO companies: Asia Pacific Aircraft Component Services, Eaton Aero Services and POS Aviation Engineering Services.

“BMM enhances our ability to support customers and provides an important platform for us to grow our presence in ÿ�մ���,” SIAEC CEO Chin Yau Seng said. “We see strong potential in ÿ�մ���’s aerospace sector, particularly in talent development, technical capability and long-term industry growth.”
