Quantum Systems Develops First MALE-Class Strike Drone

The German company Quantum Systems plans to present a new multi-purpose MALE (medium-altitude long-endurance) drone, the Pulse P19, capable of carrying weapons, at the ILA Berlin 2026 exhibition.

This was reported by the German defense media outlet , citing company representatives.

The new system will become the largest unmanned platform in the Quantum Systems lineup and marks the company鈥檚 entry into the MALE-class drone segment.

The Pulse P19 is being developed as a multi-role system capable of conducting reconnaissance, surveillance, and strike missions. According to the report, the drone will be able to integrate weapons systems, representing a new direction for the German manufacturer.

Previously, Quantum Systems was known primarily for its Vector, Twister, Reliant, and other tactical reconnaissance drones.

The introduction of the Pulse P19 comes amid the company鈥檚 ongoing expansion, as it has become a key supplier of unmanned systems to the German Armed Forces and several European countries in recent years.

Quantum Systems says operational experience gained from drone use in Ukraine has significantly influenced the development of its new platforms.

The company places particular emphasis on software development and integration of unmanned systems into unified control networks via its MOSAIC UxS ecosystem.

The Pulse P19 indicates the company鈥檚 shift from tactical UAVs toward operational-level platforms with a broader mission set.

MALE-class drones are traditionally used for long-endurance surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike missions against ground targets.

The presentation of the new platform will take place at the ILA Berlin 2026 exhibition, scheduled for June 10-14 in Berlin, where the company will publicly unveil the system.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that and cooperation with Ukraine.
