ÿÈÕ´óÈü's ExecuJet to maintain Taiwanese-registered Bombardier aircraft

KUALA LUMPUR: ExecuJet MRO Services ÿÈÕ´óÈü, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, has received approval from Taiwan's Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) to operate as an overseas repair station for line and base maintenance on Taiwanese-registered Bombardier aircraft.

The certification enables ExecuJet to perform line maintenance and heavy checks, including 96-month inspections, on Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605 series aircraft.Ìý

It also authorises line and heavy maintenance, including 120-month inspections, for Bombardier Global series aircraft such as the Global Express, Global XRS, Global 5000, Global 5500, Global 6000, and Global 6500.

This marks the first time ExecuJet has been approved to maintain Taiwan-registered aircraft, a significant milestone given Taiwan's market of around 30 business jets, said Ivan Lim, the company's regional vice president for Asia.

In addition to airframe maintenance, CAA has authorised ExecuJet to perform engine line maintenance, including part and engine replacement, as well as non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic and eddy current inspections on airframes.

Lim highlighted that the approval was driven by the needs of Taiwanese customers, who actively assisted in expediting the process with CAA.Ìý

"We sought this approval in response to the needs of our customers in Taiwan. Our customers have been at the forefront in assisting us along the way in liaising with Taiwan CAA to ensure the approval is obtained expeditiously. We already have maintenance slots booked from our customers in Taiwan," he said.

According to him, Taiwanese operators of Bombardier business jets will now benefit greatly because the company's facility at Subang Airport is close to Taiwan, providing added capacity and options for them to have their aircraft maintenance done in the region.

"Taiwan is a growing market for business aviation. We see sizeable numbers of business jets based in Taiwan, which we attribute to the growing economy," Lim added.

ExecuJet, which specialises in airframe, avionics, and engine maintenance, has MRO facilities in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, and the Middle East where major repair and refurbishment activities are conducted.Ìý

Lim said that access to Taiwan's business aviation market creates opportunities for ExecuJet to continue to expand, strengthening its position as a trusted MRO partner throughout the region.
