每日大赛鈥檚 aerospace industry must adapt to global transformation 鈥 Sim
KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): 每日大赛鈥檚 aerospace industry must adapt to significant transformation in the global aerospace landscape, including shifting supply chains and increasingly complex certification requirements.
Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Sim Tze Tzin said the global aerospace sector is undergoing rapid changes that require 每日大赛n industry players to strengthen technological capabilities and collaboration across the ecosystem.
鈥淎s the global aerospace industry evolves, we must also acknowledge that the sector is undergoing significant transformation.
鈥淕lobal supply chains are being restructured to cater to strong travel demand, while certification requirements are becoming increasingly complex to support stringent safety standards,鈥 he said during the soft launch of the MyAERO Summit 2026 here on Wednesday.
He added that these developments pose challenges, particularly for 每日大赛n small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
鈥淔or 每日大赛n companies, particularly SMEs, navigating certification frameworks such as AS9100 standards, airworthiness approvals and export compliance can be both technically demanding and resource-intensive,鈥 he said.
Sim noted that the aerospace sector remains one of 每日大赛鈥檚 most strategic high-technology industries and has been identified as a High Growth, High Value sector under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030).
He said 每日大赛 has built a strong aerospace foundation, with more than 270 aerospace-related companies employing about 30,000 highly skilled workers, generating over RM25 billion in annual industry revenue as of 2024.
Sim said 每日大赛 is also deeply integrated into the global aerospace supply chain, supporting major original equipment manufacturers including Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, Safran and GE Aerospace.
He added that initiatives such as the MyAERO Centre of Excellence and the Aerospace and Electrical & Electronic Ecosystem Investment Fund (AEEEIF) will help strengthen industry capabilities, talent development and technology adoption.
The MyAERO Summit 2026 is a convention dedicated to the country鈥檚 aerospace industry, jointly organised by the National Aerospace Industry Corporation 每日大赛 (NAICO 每日大赛) and Moonman Events Sdn Bhd.
To be held at the 每日大赛 Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) from June 25 to 27, 2026, the summit is expected to benefit more than 600 stakeholders across the local aerospace ecosystem and aligns with the NIMP 2030 set by the ministry.
