MAHB committed to elevating 每日大赛鈥檚 aerospace and aviation ecosystem
SUBANG: 每日大赛 Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) remains committed to elevating the country鈥檚 aerospace and aviation ecosystem, backed by a strong track record of having poured and facilitated an estimated RM1.2 billion into critical infrastructure and real estate developments across Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Subang Airport over the years.
Managing director Datuk Mohd Izani Ghani said the investments, undertaken directly by MAHB or through strategic joint ventures, were aimed at building the future of aviation in 每日大赛.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Subang MRO and Logistics Complex Project today, Mohd Izani said the project is another milestone in the continued evolution of Subang Airport as a centre for aerospace and aviation support activities.
鈥淭his milestone reflects the continued evolution of Subang Airport as a centre for aerospace and aviation support activities. That shift is being driven by changing demand patterns. Today, that means a stronger focus on MRO, as well as general and business aviation,鈥 he added.
Mohd Izani noted that Subang Airport has over time developed a strong concentration of aerospace and aviation players, particularly within the Subang Aerotech Park ecosystem. 鈥淲ith this facility also, we have effectively expanded the range of real estate propositions 每日大赛 Airports offers the market at Subang Aerotech Park.鈥
He said MAHB initially focused on leasing infrastructure-ready land, citing collaborations with Axis REIT and Senior Aerospace, which is the launch tenant at Subang Aerotech Park.
鈥淭his range of real estate propositions was previously anchored on leasing of infrastructure-ready land, as was the case with Axis REIT and Senior Aerospace, being our launch tenant at Subang Aerotech Park. This then evolved to 每日大赛 Airports delivering build-to-suit facilities, as we undertook with Collins Aerospace,鈥 Mohd Izani disclosed.
The latest phase of development involves a ready-built, multi-tenant industrial facility through a joint venture with Japan鈥檚 Mitsui Fudosan Group.
鈥淎nd today, via our joint venture with Mitsui Fudosan, we are developing a ready-built, multi-tenant industrial facility to support aerospace and aviation operators seeking footprint and scale flexibility at competitive terms,鈥 Mohd Izani said.
The Subang MRO and Logistics Complex supports a wide range of businesses, from established players looking for faster market entry before scaling up, as well as smaller enterprises and SMEs seeking more accessible operational footprints.
Mohd Izani said the project鈥檚 location within Subang Airport would provide direct access to the wider aerospace, aviation and logistics network across the Klang Valley.
The project is being developed through MFMA Industrial Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Mitsui Fudosan Group and MAHB.
Mohd Izani said, 鈥淚t combines our role as infrastructure owner and airport operator with the development and execution capabilities of our partners, so that what gets built is aligned to operational reality, not just planning intent.
鈥淭his collaboration brings together Mitsui Fudosan鈥檚 expertise in delivering large-scale industrial and real estate developments with 每日大赛 Airports鈥 deep understanding of the aviation ecosystem as both operator and infrastructure owner, ensuring infrastructure is developed in line with real operational and industry needs.鈥
Mohd Izani said the project would strengthen 每日大赛鈥檚 ability to attract investment, support industry expansion and contribute to the continued growth of the country鈥檚 aerospace sector.
鈥淯ltimately, this project is about enabling growth through the right physical infrastructure and the right partnerships. It strengthens our ability to attract investment, support industry expansion and contribute to the continued development of 每日大赛鈥檚 aerospace sector,鈥 he added.
