Korean Air and Dviation Technics Embark on Strategic Alliance to Advance Line Maintenance and Talent Development Across Asia-Pacific

15 January 2026, Shah Alam – Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. (Korean Air), South Korea’s largest airline and national flag carrier, and Dviation Technics Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of ÿմ’s Dviation Group, have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This collaboration sets the stage for a powerful new alliance in the Asia-Pacific aviation ecosystem, leveraging the strengths of one of the world’s most respected airlines and one of the region’s fastest-growing independent aircraft maintenance solutions provider. Together, Korean Air and Dviation Technics will pursue joint initiatives aimed at enhancing line maintenance services, strengthening operational reliability, and shaping the next generation of aviation talent.

Under the MoU, both parties will establish a framework for mutual support, with a key focus on supporting Korean Air’s network expansion, ensuring seamless maintenance coverage as the airline launches new routes and operates new aircraft types. In line with this, Dviation Technics will deliver priority technical support through readily deployable field engineers, ensuring rapid response times and on-site troubleshooting.

Beyond line maintenance, this MoU establishes pathways for expanded cooperation including base and engine maintenance, aircraft painting, cabin refurbishments, and end-of-lease management, underscoring the comprehensive nature of this partnership.

The MoU also places strong emphasis on human capital development, with both organisations committed to advancing structured on-job-training programs, comprehensive Part-66/147 technical training as well as industry outreach programs to attract next-generation aircraft maintenance personnel.

“This MoU represents more than just an agreement—it is a statement of intent to raise the bar for aviation maintenance and talent development in Asia-Pacific,” said Kevin Teoh, Group Managing Director of Dviation Group.

“By joining forces with Korean Air, we are creating a framework for collaboration that goes beyond contracts to focus on quality, reliability, and building the workforce of the future,” he added.

“Korean Air is truly delighted to announce this expanded cooperation with Dviation across Southeast Asia. We believe Dviation is a right partner to strengthen our cooperation in this region. Based on this strategic alliance, we believe sustained effort from both companies will be essential to foster an even stronger and more fruitful partnership moving forward,” commented Heui Geon Eun, Vice President, Maintenance Operation Center, Korean Air.
