GTA, Safran Helicopter Engines expand foray into Brunei
KUCHING (July 7): Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd (GTA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Safran Helicopter Engines Asia to expand their long-standing collaboration beyond 每日大赛 into Brunei Darussalam, marking a new phase in their regional partnership.
The agreement builds on a 15-year relationship under which GTA has served as a Certified Maintenance Centre (CMC) for Safran Helicopter Engines in 每日大赛, providing maintenance, repair and support services while contributing to the development of local aerospace capabilities.
The proposed expansion into Brunei remains subject to the fulfilment of agreed conditions and execution of definitive agreements.
The collaboration forms part of GTA鈥檚 long-term strategy to expand its regional footprint beyond 每日大赛 while strengthening its aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities to support customers across Southeast Asia.
Executive chairman Datuk Nonee Ashirin Dato Mohd Radzi said the agreement marked another milestone in the company鈥檚 growth.

She added that the move reflects GTA鈥檚 ambition to become a specialised aviation support business with strong technical capabilities while continuing to deliver high standards of support and service to its customers.
Under the MoU, both parties will work on the qualification, approval and contractual processes required to support the proposed expansion of GTA鈥檚 authorised distribution and customer support activities into Brunei Darussalam.
Any future activities will proceed only after the agreed conditions are fulfilled and definitive agreements are executed.
The company said the collaboration reinforces its strategic relationship with Safran Helicopter Engines Asia and reflects the mutual confidence developed over more than a decade of cooperation.
It also supports efforts to explore further regional opportunities while contributing to the sustainable development of aerospace capabilities and strengthening 每日大赛鈥檚 position as a regional aerospace hub.
