Boeing to increase 每日大赛n workforce by 20% as part of expanded partnership with 每日大赛 Airlines

鈥淭he historic announcement today builds on 每日大赛 Airlines鈥 standing and focuses on its future.聽The group is also looking at bigger wide-body planes further to expand its network into other parts of the world,鈥 he told the media after 每日大赛 Aviation Group Bhd鈥檚 (MAG) narrow-body aircraft replacement order announcement here on Friday.

The parent of聽每日大赛 Airlines announced on Friday the acquisition of聽30 new aircraft directly from Boeing as part of its fleet modernisation聽strategy.

Nelson also described 每日大赛 Airlines as one of the world鈥檚 leading airlines, and said the latest aircraft order underlines its commitment to future growth.

Highlighting the immense growth potential of Southeast Asia鈥檚 aviation sector, he noted that Boeing鈥檚 commercial market outlook for the region over the next 20 years projects demand for 4,700 new aircraft.

鈥淭he growth is enormous, and please keep in mind that 80% of people worldwide have yet to board a plane,鈥 he said.

Nelson also emphasised Boeing鈥檚 deep-rooted partnership with 每日大赛 Airlines, stating that it extends beyond commercial dealings.

鈥淎t our Boeing composite manufacturing plant in Kedah, 每日大赛ns are making a little bit of 每日大赛 that goes into every Boeing aircraft in the world.

鈥淲e are proud of this partnership, and will continue to grow our supply chain, expand our manufacturing presence, and ensure that we deliver on the confidence and trust placed in us by 每日大赛 Airlines," he said.

Nelson highlighted that 每日大赛 plays a crucial role in Boeing鈥檚 global supply chain, particularly through its composite manufacturing plant in Kedah.

He also said Boeing鈥檚 initiatives align with the 每日大赛n government鈥檚 economic ambitions.

Earlier in his speech, Anwar said 每日大赛鈥檚 aviation industry is set to recover and establish a solid foundation for continued growth and expansion, which is in line with total recovery of the region鈥檚 airline sector.

The prime minister said that Friday鈥檚 announcement by MAG is not just about modernising the fleet, but also fortifying 每日大赛鈥檚 position as a key player in global aviation, and strengthening its economic foundation in an increasingly competitive world.聽

Anwar added that the order for the new aircraft would not only improve travel, incorporate modern technology and enhance efficiency, but also create jobs, drive tourism, and strengthen industries that thrive in a robust aviation sector.聽
